We outside!
Last weekend I met up with my sister-friend Melissa in Cabo San Lucas Mexico! We badly needed a super chill girl trip where we could let our hair down and just eat, drink and lay out in the sun. That is exactly what we did for 3 days. We didn’t do a ton, but we did enough to make our trip worth while!
This is your guide to Cabo! Where to stay, where to eat and what to do while you’re there!
Where to Stay
We stayed at ME Cabo by Melia. It was booked as a regular hotel stay on Hotels.com. We booked a room with a patio/ocean view a month in advance. The hotel was around $230 a night. Compared to my stays in Tulum this was kind of pricey but Tulum and Cabo have proven to be total opposites. When booking through Hotels.com I find that my hotel stays are always cheaper so I usually stick to that tactic when it comes to searching for hotels. You can also book it as all inclusive but we wanted to be able to enjoy food at restaurants outside of the hotel.
One of the best parts of ME Cabo was the decor and cleanliness. The rooms were clean, the ground around and in the hotel were literally spotless. I would 10/10 recommend it.
In addition to the staff being very accommodating and kind, the ease to get a covid test was perfect. Our stay was only 3 day/4 nights so before even seeing our room a rep was able to schedule for our Covid Tests on the property. You do NOT need a covid test to fly into Cabo but you WILL need a negative test in order to fly into the United States. After getting our noses swabbed we immediately were told our results were negative and that the final result would be emailed to us. Very easy process.
Covid Precautions
Just like most places, in Cabo you have to wear a mask at all times especially while in the hotel. Once you are seated or at your destination you can take off your mask. I would say that ME Cabo was one of the cleanest hotels that I have stayed at in a while. The staff was cleaning around the clock which made us feel more comfortable. Hand sanitizer stations and even shoe cleaning stations were nice touches to the decor during this time.
Where to Eat
If you do decide to stay at ME Cabo, the food on the property is good! Me and Melissa at the same meals at least 2 times one day and that’s just how good It was. The drinks were cool too.
We tried two restaurants outside of ME Cabo so that we had some variety. One was a restaurant by the marina called Agua Salada. The food was cool not really too impressed but I was cool. The second restaurant we tried was an Italian spot called Iforna. The vibe was super chill and the pasta was banging. I would definitely come back. Below is a list of restaurants that were suggested to us but we weren’t able to check out on this trip:
Maria carona
Los Tres Gajos
Flora Farms & Acre farms (Farm to Table restaurants that are right next to each other)
What to Do
Boat Cruise
All we wanted to do was eat and drink, so anything extra was fine but we weren’t pressed. One thing that we scheduled ahead of time before arriving was a sunset boat ride. This company has a few different options for boat cruises. The sunset option was nice, our captain and host were very hospitable. It includes snacks and drinks which was perfect before dinner! The company that we booked the boat was with Cabo Sailing.
One thing that was also on the table to do was ATVs. We decided not to only because our trip was shorter and most of the ATV tours were about two hours long. If you want to book an ATV Tour check out G Force Adventures
I would like to shoutout Krystal Benson of @inspiredbykrys. The majority of the places we visited were based off of her recommendations including our wonderful stay at ME Cabo. We usually book everything on our own but if you are looking for a Travel Agent make sure to check out Stamp Travel Boutique!
I would 10/10 reccommend visting Cabo!
