There are a few different ways to work with Influencers and content creators. Before moving forward with influencer marketing its important to do your research and find out what influencer(s) resonate most with your aesthetic, mission and vibe.
Second you should do research on how much influencers usually get paid based on their following and engagement so that you have an idea. This does not mean that is what every influencer will charge but just serves as knowledge.
There are a few different ways for brands to work with influencers:
Collaborations
Unpaid
There are influencers that will collaborate based off product exchange. So that means you give them the product for free in exchange for content. It’s okay to ask but more than likely an influencer who has above 10,000 will charge for content. All content creators would like to be paid but its all about asking respectfully and if they do charge you should ask for their rates so you can determine if its in your budget.
Paid
Paid collaborations are of course the most popular among influencers who consistently create content on their on and most have above 10K followers. Solidify the ideas or ways to work with influencers and then reach out to ask for rates. For example you would send out products and pay for specific content to be created whether it be an IG Story or a Youtube video.
Gifting
Gifting is another way to get exposure for your brand or product. If you want to GIFT products or services to a content creator/influencers that does NOT mean they will post. It’s important to set your expectations the exchange from the beginning. Give the influencer a chance to actually try out and use the product so that they can share it with their audience.
Note: We aren’t required to post about things that are gifted. We do this sometimes as a thank you but we don’t have to. The reason why is because there is most likely no agreement involved. If you would like your product or services shouted out or mentioned you will need to set up a product exchange collaboration or you will need to pay, simple as that. Please don’t think because you GIFTED someone something they HAVE to post it. It’s not the case.
Sponsorship
Sponsorships are simply classified as ongoing partnership between a content creator and a brand. This may include a long term agreement of continuous paid collaborations, events or trips with the brands and other influencers.
